Job Purpose:
The job holder will play a key role in research, analyzing financial information, and monitoring financial movements to support the Sr Manager Financial Analysis with analytics and recommendations to enable decision making.
Key Result Areas:
- Analyse financial results, monitor P&L variances and identify trends to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
- Support the Sr. Manager - Financial Analysis with preparation of reports that evaluate financial risks and ROI to aid the management in business decisions.
- Prepare business and feasibility studies for new projects, acquisition and joint ventures to minimize risks and maximize returns.
- Track implementation of process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the business to ensure effectiveness, sustainability and alignment with the organizational goals.
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis to ensure financial strategies align with organizational goals.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) proactively to review during monthly discussions with budget holders.
- Prepare weekly reports highlighting trends in catering industry and associated industries such as hospitality, aviation to support management decisions in staying relevant and competitive in a dynamic market.
- Analyse and define impact of decisions and make recommendations relating to operational decisions such as buy/hire, outsource/inhouse to assess financial impact.
- Prepare presentation and progress reports, on business performance and status of capex projects to facilitate timely completion.
- Support budget holders with preparation of budget templates and providing training to gain understanding of key financial concepts.
Education Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Admin
• Professional qualification in Business MBA or in Finance, ACA, CPA, CFA or working towards such qualifications is preferred.
Work Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
• Big four Audit and forensic accounting experience is preferred.
Skills:
• Proficient in using ERP, Excel for analysis
• Well informed in current financial subjects, tax laws, money market and business environment
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
