Job Description

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer operates at the intersection of sales and engineering. The ideal candidate must articulate technology and product positioning at executive, business, and technical levels. Sales Engineers provide primary technical support for the sales team, actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. They ensure success with all Harness customers and collaborate with sales counterparts to lead customers toward a commercial relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver world-class presentations and demos of our platform.
  2. Work directly with customers to troubleshoot common errors.
  3. Connect business problems to technical solutions.
  4. Understand and communicate technology value propositions.
  5. Lead complex technical engagements to demonstrate the value of Harness solutions.

About You

  • You will deliver compelling product demonstrations that showcase how our software benefits customers.
  • You will represent the product at customer meetings and industry events such as conferences and seminars.
  • You will stay informed about updates and developments in our technologies.
  • You have experience in software development, worked with developers, or in a DevOps role.
  • You possess strong cloud knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
  • You can respond to functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.
  • You can communicate customer requirements effectively to Engineering teams.
  • You are willing and able to travel within a sales territory, sometimes on short notice.

Work Location

Remote role with a preference for candidates in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
