Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a leader to manage BIM Co-Ordinators, guiding delivery of busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings while ensuring schedule, quality and compliance.

You will coordinate with the BIM Manager, drive reviews, manage BOQ changes, and uphold HSE and sustainability practices across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of BIM Co-Ordinators to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Assign tasks to team members based on skills, project needs and deadlines.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with BIM Co-Ordinators.
• Receive instructions from the BIM Manager and delegate busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings.
• Organize and lead review meetings at each project stage with the project team.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Act as the primary contact between BIM Co-Ordinators and the BIM Manager for updates and issues.
• Facilitate communication among team members and with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Inform the BIM Manager of significant developments, delays, and resource needs.
• Ensure designs and models are completed accurately by or before the estimated dates.
• Monitor adherence to H&S guidelines during factory and site visits.
• Promote sustainable practices, e.g., reducing unnecessary paper use.
• Review and approve drawings before final BIM Manager approval.
• Track BOQ changes and communicate them to BIM Manager and project teams.
• Supervise site measurements based on BIM Manager inputs.
• Ensure design outputs are error-free and meet project specifications.
• Update and organize drawing locations for easy access and retrieval.
• Provide a comprehensive project closeout report highlighting lessons learned.

• Receive instructions from the BIM Manager and delegate tasks to BIM Co-Ordinators for the preparation of busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings in line with project requirements, specifications, and deadlines.


• Organize and lead review meetings at each project stage with relevant project team members to ensure customer requirements are met and project milestones are achieved.


• Maintain oversight of the entire project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Communication And Collaboration

• Act as the primary point of contact between the BIM Co-Ordinators and the BIM Manager, ensuring clear and effective communication of project updates, changes, and issues.


• Facilitate effective communication among team members and with other departments to resolve drawing and specification discrepancies and deliver quality outputs.


• Keep the BIM Manager informed of any significant project developments, potential delays, and resource needs.

Quality Control And Compliance

• Ensure that all project designs and models are completed accurately and on or before the estimated dates.


• Monitor and enforce adherence to company H&S guidelines and policies during factory and site visits.


• Promote sustainable practices within the team, such as reducing paper usage by printing only what is necessary.

Technical Oversight

• Review and approve drawings prepared by BIM Co-Ordinators before forwarding them to the BIM Manager for final approval.


• Ensure all BOQ changes are tracked and communicated effectively to the BIM Manager and relevant project teams.


• Supervise site measurements based on inputs received from the BIM Manager and ensure accurate data collection.

Project Closeout

• Ensure that all design outputs are error-free and meet the project specifications.


• Oversee the proper updating and organization of drawing locations for working and output files, ensuring easy access and retrieval.


• Provide a comprehensive project closeout report to the BIM Manager, highlighting lessons learned and areas for improvement.
