Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a senior structural engineer to perform civil and structural analysis for Oil & Gas facilities, developing calculations and reviewing documentation.

You will model structures with STAADPro and MAT3D, apply AISC/ACI and TOTAL GS standards, ensure deliverables meet project schedules and interfaces across disciplines.

The role requires 12+ years in Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCC exposure, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive structural design experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrable experience on major Oil & Gas EPC/EPCC projects is highly desirable.
• Strong experience in civil and structural engineering design and analysis.
• Competent in STAADPro, MAT3D, structural analysis, steel and RC design, AISC and ACI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural analysis and design activities for Oil & Gas facilities.
• Develop and review structural design calculations and analyses.
• Carry out structural modelling using STAADPro and MAT3D.
• Apply American design codes and standards, including AISC and ACI.
• Ensure designs comply with TOTAL GS general specification requirements.
• Review civil/structural drawings and design deliverables for technical accuracy.

• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination.
• Identify design discrepancies, risks and potential issues and recommend solutions.
• Support queries, design clarifications and engineering changes.

• Carry out structural modelling, analysis and design using STAADPro and MAT3D.




• Apply relevant American design codes and standards, including AISC and ACI, in engineering design activities.




• Ensure designs comply with applicable TOTAL GS (General Specification) requirements.




• Review civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations and design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance.




• Provide technical input and engineering solutions for structural design issues arising during project execution.




• Coordinate civil/structural engineering interfaces with other engineering disciplines.




• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination activities.




• Identify design discrepancies, technical risks and potential engineering issues and recommend appropriate solutions.




• Support technical queries, design clarifications and engineering changes relating to civil and structural works.
