Founded in 1988, the firm has expanded globally with offices in Amsterdam, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Melbourne, Austin, and Dubai. The Dubai office, operational since December 2020, serves the Middle East region, focusing on innovative and sustainable design solutions.

The position

The Senior Bid Coordinator will play a pivotal role in expanding UNStudio's presence in the Middle East. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the architecture and design industry, particularly within the Middle East market.

The Sr. Bid Coordinator is co-responsible for the expansion of UNStudio's business network, in co-charge of researching business opportunities and responsible for the planning and preparation of tender documents, RFP's, and business proposals. You will work closely with the Directors, their teams, and the other team members of the Communications Department of which Business Development is part.

Market Research & Analysis

1. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new project opportunities in the Middle East.
2. Analyze competitive landscape and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Client Relationship Management

1. Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, government agencies, and industry partners.
2. Serve as the primary point of contact for a part of the client portfolio, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Business Development Strategy

1. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tenders, competitions, and direct commissions.

Collaboration & Coordination

1. Work closely with the design and project management teams to align business development efforts with company capabilities and project pipelines.
2. Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and strategies that enhance UNStudio's brand presence in the region.

Reporting & Documentation

1. Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including pipeline status, client interactions, and market insights.
2. Maintain accurate records of all business development initiatives and client communications.

Job requirements

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries, preferably in the Middle East.
3. Proven track record of securing new business and managing client relationships.
4. Strong understanding of the architectural landscape and market dynamics in the Middle East.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
7. Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
