Job description

  • Perform impact assessments of UAE Corporate Tax (CT) on business and operations.
  • Undertake gap analysis and prepare CT readiness and implementation roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures.
  • Prepare timely and accurate tax reports.
  • Maintain proper archiving for all tax submissions.
  • Research complex tax issues and identify solutions.
  • Manage and maintain company’s tax database.
  • Support during audits, including documentation and audit queries.
  • Finalize tax computations and returns.
  • Support transfer pricing matters.
  • Prepare tax checklists and expenditure trackers.
  • Support M&A transactions (local and international).
  • Review documentation (contracts, invoices) for correct VAT treatment.
  • Monitor and communicate VAT updates.
  • Liaise with tax authorities for VAT litigations and compliance.
  • Interact with business/finance teams for VAT support.
  • Ensure timely and accurate VAT compliance.
  • Follow up on VAT regulation updates and ensure implementation.
  • Maintain archiving for VAT submission files.
  • Support VAT registration, returns, refunds, and FTA correspondence.
  • Review AR and AP tax codes before month-end close.
  • Prepare defense files and handle FTA audit/refund queries.
  • Prepare accurate VAT reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Conduct direct and indirect tax risk assessments.
Consolidation and Statutory Reporting
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing consolidations.
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements.
  • Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with foreign entities’ accountants for reporting.
  • Monitor and develop revenue/expenditure reports for projects.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.
  • Draft and implement corporate policies.
  • Support in AR, AP, fixed assets, inventory, and journal entry processes.
  • Ensure disclosures are per applicable IFRS.
  • Submit TB, financial statements, and related disclosures timely.
Audits and Governance
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors for audits.
  • Provide required documentation and address queries during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit recommendations.
  • Support preparation of audit committee presentation slides.
Policies, Procedures, and Compliance
  • Follow departmental policies, processes, SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Report safety incidents and near misses.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
  • Professional qualification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent (mandatory).
  • 4–6 years post-qualification experience in a similar finance role within a large or complex organization.
