Joint Space in Dubai is seeking a DHA-licensed or DHA-eligible sports and performance medicine physician to join our integrated medical team at the Alserkal Avenue clinic. You will treat active and athletic populations, perform musculoskeletal assessments, and work alongside physiotherapists, movement coaches, and recovery specialists.

The role is full-time and on-site, with opportunities to contribute to workshops, patient education, and community events while aligning care with our five-pillar

About Joint Space

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a sports and performance medicine physician to join our medical team at Joint Space Polyclinic in Alserkal Avenue.

Joint Space is a multidisciplinary clinic built on five pillars: clinical and medical care, recovery, movement, education and community. We have developed a unique patient journey whereby people seeking care can enter through any one of these five pillars and continue their journey through Joint Space from there. We are in Alserkal Avenue as we have always believed that the way a place feels is part of the care.

How we work

Our practitioners work as one team. Care at Joint Space is integrated, patient centric and focused on the whole patient journey. Our medical team is built around a functional, root cause orientation, treating the person as one connected system and using nutrition, movement, recovery and lifestyle as core tools of care, with optimisation and longevity in mind. This role sits directly beside our functional and metabolic medicine, with one physician working on the internal system and the other on structure and recovery, so that together they give our patients one complete proposition. Medical standards and direction are held by our Medical Director.

Joint Space already has the infrastructure for sports medicine, with a gym, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, movement coaches and a full recovery space. We see a wide variety of patients, from active adults and runners to athletes and people focused on their long term health.

Our medical team currently works with:

• Functional and metabolic medicine
  
• Our Executive Check Up, offered as a basic and a premium health assessment
  
• Blood testing and peptide therapy
  
• Our recovery space, with sauna, cold bath, hyperbaric, red light and PEMF
  
• Shared care with our physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and movement coaches
  

What we expect from you

• A DHA licensed or DHA eligible physician specialising in sports or sports and exercise medicine, able to practise in Dubai
  
• Real experience with active and athletic populations, from recreational to elite
  
• Musculoskeletal assessment and non surgical injury management, including diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
  
• Competency in, or a demonstrable interest in, regenerative and image guided injectables (PRP, orthobiologics, joint and soft tissue) and performance oriented therapeutics, including peptides, where clinically and legally permissible
  
• An understanding of load, adaptation and recovery, with recovery protocols, nutrition and lifestyle used as active parts of the medical plan
  
• A clear plan of care for each patient that follows the Joint Space patient journey, drawing on our physiotherapy, movement, recovery and education services, with progress reviews built in so patients understand where they are and what comes next
  
• A functional, root cause lens in your own practice, which is essential to how our medical team works
  
• Contribution to our workshops, education and community events
