Job Description
Summary of Functions: All sports teams, intramural activities, and sports events are overseen by the Supervisors. They are responsible for risk management, facility usage, and ensuring safety. Supervisors are available for providing information, handling emergencies, and managing incidents. They are also responsible for the overall success and timeliness of each intramural and sports event through facility and participation supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and implement sports tryouts, training sessions, intramurals, and friendly games.
  • Organize sports events and competitions.
  • Motivate students to participate in sports teams.
  • Assess the needs and capabilities of sports teams.
  • Supervise and assist sports coaches and follow up on their contracts.
  • Monitor physical, technical, and tactical progress of team members.
  • Encourage good sportsmanship.
  • Assist in developing policies and regulations for competitive sports.
  • Maintain and coordinate the master calendar of all sports events and meetings.
  • Complete and organize all paperwork accurately.
  • Promote and recruit members for competitive sports.
  • Communicate effectively with sports team members.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of sports teams in facilities and during outside competitions, acting immediately to ensure safety during emergencies.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment until medical services arrive.
  • Use protective equipment when intervening in incidents or emergencies.
  • Prepare and maintain activity reports, including incident reports if necessary.
  • Enforce rules related to conduct, attire, and participation.
  • Perform maintenance duties for sports facilities, including setting up equipment and scheduling training sessions.
  • Write reports on participation and progress.
  • Maintain an organized filing system and database of participants.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum education: Degree or diploma in Physical Education.
  • Certifications in First Aid (provided if needed).
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to react calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Proficiency in sports activity supervision.
  • Experience working with sports activities.
  • Ability to pass a physical skill evaluation.
  • Ability to prepare administrative paperwork.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
