The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in children and adults. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized therapy plans. Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient-focused, and experienced in various speech therapy techniques and tools.
Responsibilities:
Assess patients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Develop and implement personalized therapy plans.
Use specialized equipment and exercises to treat speech disorders.
Work with patients on articulation, fluency, and voice control.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and teachers when needed.
Educate families and caregivers on how to support therapy at home.
Maintain detailed records and progress reports for each patient.
Participate in case reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
Stay updated on best practices and new therapy approaches.
Promote awareness of speech disorders and intervention benefits.
Requirements:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Valid license or eligibility to practice as a speech therapist in the UAE.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with children and adults from diverse backgrounds.
Experience with AAC devices and alternative communication methods is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
Compassionate and empathetic approach.
Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
