Job Description

Provides quality professional services in the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language, cognitive, fluency, voice, swallowing, and feeding disorders, along with associated communication problems.

Experience

  • Required: NLT 2 years of post-graduate experience in the field of Speech and Hearing Sciences or Speech Language Pathology.
  • Desired: N.A.

Educational Qualification

  • Required: BSc in Speech & Hearing, Speech Language Pathology, Speech or Communications Sciences & Disorders, and current National License or membership in a recognized international agency preferred.
  • MSc. in Speech & Hearing, Speech Language Pathology, Speech or Communications Sciences & Disorders (which reduces 1 year from the required experience). Candidates with MSc will be accepted with a basic degree in psychology or language.

Responsibilities

  • Support a caseload of patients with developmental speech and language delay and disorder, and swallowing or feeding disorders in adults and/or pediatrics. Develop and implement specialized speech and language treatment plans.
  • Gather comprehensive case histories including medical, social, psychological, educational, and developmental information.
  • Advise on management and care of patients with communication needs and oro-motor difficulties.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical reasoning to form baseline measures or differential diagnoses for intervention planning.
  • Deliver therapy interventions integrating speech, language, and communication programs into patients' routines.
  • Coordinate as part of the SLP team, liaising with internal and external agencies to provide effective services.
  • Provide individualized management, treatment, and advice, involving families, carers, and educators, and offer training to professionals.
  • Monitor equipment use, report faults, and coordinate repairs or updates.
  • Develop infection control standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development (CPD/CME hours as per licensing requirements).
  • Manage materials inventory, including ordering and replenishment approvals.
  • Ensure clinical competency, safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
