Job Title: Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Job Description
  1. Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments by selecting and administering appropriate test instruments, and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  2. Counsel patients and their families about available treatment options.
  3. Coordinate and prioritize patient caseload to minimize delays in diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
  4. Plan and modify treatment programs to improve patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
  5. Provide counseling to parents of preschool and pre-lingual children at risk for speech or language delays, including home-based methods.
  6. Design and deliver training and in-service programs for speech pathology interns.
  7. Study, evaluate, and redesign processes to improve quality results.
  8. Develop policies to ensure legal and accreditation compliance.
  9. Participate in educational opportunities to update professional knowledge.
  10. Accept ownership for new requests and explore opportunities to add value.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe working environment.
  12. Ensure compliance with local legal and certification requirements.
  13. Document patient care services accurately.
  14. Facilitate healthcare partnerships among providers, patients, and families.
  15. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, activities, and equipment.
