Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Maintain clinical documentation and treatment records.
• Educate patients and caregivers on goals and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, OTs, PTs, educators.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality initiatives.

Sakina is seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication, speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation services that enhance communication abilities and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
• Provide therapy for patients with:
• Speech and language delays
• Developmental and neurological disorders
• Voice and fluency disorders
• Cognitive-communication impairments
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and care planning discussions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Speech Therapy, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
• Valid DOH License as a Speech and Language Therapist or DOH Eligibility.
• Minimum experience as required by DOH regulations.
• Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, or adult rehabilitation patients is preferred.
