Job summary

ADNOC Group seeks a Specialist, Verifier & Training to independently QA assessment decisions for ATA programs and deliver technical training to AGC employees, upholding the highest professional standards.

The role includes leading verification activities, developing materials, and aligning skill profiles with the NQC Portfolio, with extensive field experience in oil and gas and strong English skills.

Qualifications

  • BEng or equivalent in relevant subject area and an internationally recognised Verifier & Assessor qualification.
  • Eight years hands-on experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries with 6 years in assessment/verifier and training in a vocational context.
  • High level of proficiency in English with good computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support delivery of short courses as required.
  • Develop and update training materials in line with learning objectives.
  • Ensure courses follow technical requirements and safety precautions.
  • Maintain currency of skills and participate in CPD activities.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the independent quality assurance of assessment decisions for programs offered within the ATA program, in accordance with internal quality assurance procedures and the standards set by external bodies such as NQC and OPITO. Deliver technical training within their discipline to support the development of AGC employees and achieve growth objectives through innovative initiatives in their area of expertise. The Specialist is expected to work independently and uphold the highest levels of professionalism in all aspects of their work.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific:
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of assessment decisions made by the Assessors.
  • Ensure that the assessment processes comply with required quality assurance systems.
  • Provide feedback to Assessors on the judgements they have made about Candidates’ competence.
  • Fully understand the content of, and the assessment requirements for, the Standard(s) for which they have responsibility for verifying.
  • Internally verify assessments as per verification bodies requirements, Assessors and Candidates – including interim verification.
  • Provide feedback, advice, and support to Assessors.
  • Comply with the internal verification processes and quality procedures for the Standard(s).
  • Maintain records of internal verification activities for the Standard(s).
  • Conduct and/or participate in standardization activities to ensure a consistent approach to assessment is maintained.
  • Participate in, and support, their organization’s internal quality systems and ensure that any corrective actions and recommendations required following internal audits are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective quality control and continuous improvement in all aspects of this post in keeping with existing policies and developing quality assurance systems.
  • Train AGC employees as qualified assessors.
  • Ensure alignment of ADNOC skill profiles with NQC Portfolio’s.

  • Lead / Support delivery of short courses as per the requirement.
  • Develop and update training materials and other learning resources in line with learning objectives.
  • Ensure that courses are conducted according to the technical requirements and safety precautions in force.
  • Support business growth objectives by attending internal and external events to promote availability of trainings.
  • Prepare promotional materials to highlight current training offerings.
  • Support growth area with new initiatives to expand (Business Case with profit projections, mapping exercises etc).
  • Maintain the currency of their skills and must participate in regular updates / training / Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Perform other related duties at ADNOC sites as required.
Generic
  • Develop and manage operational plans for the Department in line with Division objectives, converting them into performance objectives to achieve goals.
  • Contribute to the Department's annual budget, ensuring adequate funding and cost control.
  • Develop and implement policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in line with Company and International standards.
  • Contribute to Division KPIs and manage the Company Performance Management System for Department individuals.
  • Support Personal Development Plans, Succession Planning, and Talent pipeline, focusing on UAE Nationals for Emiratization targets.
  • Recommend an appropriate organization structure for sustainability and business objectives.
  • Support Corporate Integrated Risk Management System, identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate business ethics, Company’s Code of Conduct, and HSE policies.
  • Promote innovation, employee motivation, and Change Management.
  • Prepare accurate and timely MIS and progress reports for Management.
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Internal: Attend meetings with Section Head, Staff and Department Head to ensure follow-up and permanent evaluation.

External: Liaise with ADNOC HQ & AGC’ training entities to elaborate competency gaps and recommend training solutions taking into account all site specifics. Liaise with external entities for any training or verification services required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification

BEng, or Equivalent in relevant subject area plus an internationally recognised Verifier & Assessor qualification.

A background in vocational education is not a must but will be a plus.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

Eight years hands-on experience, in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry and 6 years assessment / Verifier experience and technical training experience in a vocational training context. High level of proficiency in English with good computer skills.
