Job summary

EDGE, based in Dubai, seeks a Business Solution Specialist who understands the defense market and can differentiate compliant and competitive technology suppliers for defense projects. This role requires strong supplier relationships and the ability to orchestrate solutions involving weapons, missiles, UAVs, radars, and electro-optical subsystems.

You will collaborate with end users and internal stakeholders to translate technical requirements into qualified bids, conduct supplier reviews,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in defense industry, technical sourcing, or solution management.

Job Description

Business Solution Specialist is a subject matter expert who understand the defense market and can differentiate the most compliant and competitive technology suppliers for defense projects, have good supplier relationship and understand the products related to (Weapons, Ammunitions, Missiles, Unmanned Systems and sub systems), and who can orchestrate the best solution with competitive prices and hand it over to the stakeholders.

Key Accountability

• Assess Client RPF technical requirements and identify suitable products and solutions.Identify and qualify suppliers capable of meeting the stringent requirement, including adherence to quality standards.Conduct supplier’s technical review, evaluations, and perform technical bid analysis.
• Work with the procurement team to develop and implement sourcing strategies to support the procurement of technical components, material and services for defense projects.
• Collaborate closely with end user and internal stakeholders (BD, bid manager, proposal lead, contract) to understand technical requirement and specification.Regular meeting with suppliers, and keep up to date with new technology and new trends.Attend exhibitions, manage relationship with key suppliers,
• Monitor market trend and lead benchmarking for defense applications (Missile, Weapons, Radars, UAVs, Ammunitions, Electro-optical systems, etc).Reporting and keep up to date the tracker sheet (bi-weekly, quarterly, yearly)

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in the defense industry, technical sourcing, or solution management.
• Strong knowledge of defense products, including weapons, missiles, UAVs, ammunition, radars, and electro-optical systems.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, technical bid analysis, and sourcing.
• Strong supplier relationship, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for supplier meetings and industry events.
