EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR of which 3 years must be in Recruitment.
  • Experience in Airline / Aviation is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives staff requisitions and initiates recruitment through searching the company’s CV database or recruitment system for qualified applicants. If no qualified applicants are available through the database, then Head of Recruitment is notified.
  • Reviews CVs to verify minimum qualifications are met according to the job description. Determines applicants’ general suitability based on background and experience and highlights observations on each candidates’ strengths and weakness.
  • Ranks CVs and creates a candidate summary sheet with qualifications and experience for top 3-5 candidates. Provides summary sheet and candidate CVs or gal applicant data sheet to Head of Recruitment for review and approval. Prepares shortlist of potential candidates.
  • Sets up face to face or conference call interviews for selected candidates upon approval; coordinates location scheduling for all interviews and ensures that all panel interviewers are available. Confirms panel interviewers with Head of Recruitment prior to scheduling.
  • Recruitment Officer ensures that interview location is properly secured and that interviewees are advised as to the location and time with an email and request that the applicant bring with them the necessary documents to the interview as per the interview procedure. An applicant file is set up and interview notes are attached.
  • Recruitment Officer will ensure that interview panel members are selected with approval from Head of Recruitment. Will participate and lead the HR portion of the interview and direct other members of the interview panel to ask questions related specifically to candidates’ technical qualifications in absence of Head of Recruitment.
  • At time of interview or prior, personal documents are collected and used to apply for security clearances. Security clearance is tracked and monitored.
  • Upon selection of the most qualified candidate, an offer of employment is prepared based on knowledge of current salaries for the position and the educational, professional and technical qualifications of the candidate. Salary offers are based on analysis and judgment, including job scarcity, internal and external salaries/grade level consistency, qualification, experience and technical interview outcome.
  • Recruitment Officer enters all personal data into HRMS, to include scanning and uploading CV, Diploma, Certificates, passport, family book, etc.
  • Makes initial contact with successful applicants and responds to applicant’s inquiries both over the phone and in emails.
  • Responsible for organizing files of candidates under recruitment and ensures all required documents are available in the files.
  • Reviews applications and other recruitment paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Follows up with candidates for paperwork needed to process candidates for relocation. Coordinates with travel department to arrange relocation tickets and hotel accommodation.
  • Works with Visa Services Officer to obtain the employment visa for applicant and sends the copy of visa to candidate prior to travel.
  • Prepares contracts for new hires to ensure all Company requirements/policies are accurately met such as obtaining required medical clearance, copies of relevant attested documents, and release from previous employer for locally hired employees, labor approval, employment visa, health insurance etc.
  • Responsible for in-processing of new hires.
  • Compiles monitors and tracks all recruitment statistics and generates reports when required.
  • Works on HR Net to track applicant records. Ensures timely update of internal and external applications for candidate data bank. Participates as team member to improve system performance and automation projects.
  • Liaises with previous employer at internal/external level for reference check, regarding senior professional employees through telephone/fax/letter to make sure that information gathered from the interview and CVs, e.g., latest salary, etc. are correct.
  • Gives work direction to Recruitment Assistant, if any.
  • Performs other related duties, as directed by Recruitment Manager or Senior Recruitment Officer.
