Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for executing strategies to align demand and supply (procurement) of goods and services within a specific sourcing category area of responsibility.

The Sourcing Manager will deliver measurable value by utilizing strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, and lifecycle management for their designated categories.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure suppliers and contracts deliver value for money, minimize risks, and meet service and social objectives.
  • Lead and ensure process compliance, optimizing sourcing benefits from category management.
  • Negotiate best commercial value, prepare RFQs, select suppliers, and negotiate contracts with legal support.
  • Collaborate with the Category Manager and Head of Sourcing to define category strategies, set performance objectives, and engage stakeholders.
  • Create and execute category plans based on contract analysis, spend data, and future demands.
  • Lead transformational changes through category strategies, including demand management and grouping of similar goods/services.
  • Align sourcing management with corporate strategies and contribute to organizational results.
  • Update market intelligence regularly and adapt strategies to mitigate impacts.
  • Monitor and report on strategic savings monthly.
  • Identify new opportunities to minimize savings gaps.
  • Support productivity programs and promote best practices within FAB.
  • Participate in developing SVM as a value-adding function through stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • English required; Arabic preferred.
  • Over 5 years of sourcing category management experience, including strategy development and execution.
  • Experience managing portfolios of $10-30m+.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to align with business strategy and engage senior management.
  • Experience in a matrix, performance-driven environment, leading cross-functional projects.
  • Hands-on management style, capable of supporting projects and third-party management.
  • Proven change management skills and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong negotiation skills.
  • Family book in UAE is mandatory.
