Job summary

WorleyParsons Arabia Limited Co. seeks an experienced Loss Prevention Engineer to lead HSSEQ goals, oversee loss prevention engineering, and coordinate technical reviews across the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex project.

The role requires senior expertise in design optimization, safety standards, and interface with Owner and contractor teams. Responsibilities include developing standards, guiding risk assessments, performing design validation, and participating in PHASER HAZOP and LOPA activities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.
• ADNOC project experience is required; offshore project experience preferred.
• Experience in FEED & EPC Phases is required.

Job description

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Ensuring HSSEQ goals objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement Safe delivery and handover of the Project to the Owner sustainably safely on time within budget ensuring that a quality product is produced that represents best value for the Owner and their stakeholders Coordinate and supervise the Loss Prevention engineering aspects of the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex Project to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope budget and schedule Supervise oversee and coordinate regular and timely technical reviews of Loss Prevention related engineering deliverables developed by the Contractor and technology licensors ensuring design optimization in compliance with relevant codes standards and best practices and in close conjunction with the Owner s functional departments Co-ordinate and interface with other Technical Departments Business Units Operations and Maintenance functions to resolve technical issues and ensure quality engineering execution and integrity Provide technical expertise on all subject matter pertaining to Loss Prevention Engineering during all phases of the project including Engineering Fabrication Installation Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Responsible for developing and establishing systems procedures and standards for effective implementation of the project in line with international codes and standards Owner specifications local regulations and Owner HSE policies philosophies and requirements for Loss Prevention Engineering Champion the Project Safety culture behaviors and engagement activities Report to the PMC Engineering Manager and work under his direction Ensure quality and accuracy of the Contractor s Loss Prevention Engineering activities Review and approve Contractor work and ensure compliance with contract obligations project specifications relevant codes and standards design philosophy and industry best practices Provide PMC Loss Prevention performance data and reports to PMC Management and the Owner Provide technical guidance to develop new specifications and update existing specifications Perform calculations for design validation and optimization Review technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis Participate in Layout P amp ID PHASER HAZID HAZOP SIL Layout Safety Reviews PSSR constructability reviews 3D model reviews safety audits QRA workshops and related activities Provide Loss Prevention Engineering expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers Participate in analysis during Contractor and Vendor pre-qualification bid evaluation and performance evaluation Ensure quality and accuracy of Contractor Loss Prevention Engineering activities and review deliverables including philosophies data sheets specifications layouts close-out reports detailed drawings and other documents related to risk studies loss prevention systems firefighting equipment muster stations TGRs TSRs safety signage and hazardous area classifications Review any project-specific Risk Management Systems and criteria pertaining to Loss Prevention Manage and review HSEIAs for Loss Prevention Engineering inputs including hazards and effects registers bow tie diagrams HSECES registers HSCES performance standards and procedures Review Emergency Response procedures and plans for Loss Prevention inputs ensuring alignment with Owner specifications and standards Provide assistance and support during the Construction Pre-commissioning and Commissioning phases of the work Review Action Tracking Registers and ensure close-out of all Loss Prevention actions arising from key reviews workshops HSSEQ studies and safety-related concerns Review technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis for the Loss Prevention discipline Provide Loss Prevention Engineering expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers Participate in analysis during Contractor and Vendor pre-qualification bid evaluation and performance evaluation Assist in handling correspondence related to Loss Prevention A bachelor s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil amp Gas or Petrochemical industry Must have at least five 5 years of experience in similar position in mega Oil amp Gas or Petrochemical projects ADNOC project experience is required Offshore project experience is required PMC experiences are preferrable Experience in FEED amp EPC Phases is required.
