This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Piping Engineer with a proven track record in designing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity of piping systems for safe and efficient transport of fluids and gases in industrial settings for a high-profile client.

The Key Objectives For This Role Are
- Designing and analyzing piping systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in piping design and installation.
- Conducting risk assessments and system evaluations to maintain integrity and reliability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including construction and maintenance, for seamless project execution.
- Overseeing the installation and operation of piping systems to meet project requirements.
- Implementing innovative solutions to optimize performance and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to discipline-specific procedures, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework.
- Monitor compliance with competence standards.
- Participate in incident investigations as required.
- Set performance expectations for direct reports.
- Maintain personal competence and pursue continuous development.
- Provide discipline support to the business.
- Ensure learning opportunities are captured and utilized.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation.
- Proficient in scope definition.
- Be part of the PMT client team overseeing EPC contractors.
- Oversee piping engineering work by EPC contractors for major projects.
- Foster effective communication within EPC contractors' engineering teams to produce safe, cost-effective, and constructible piping designs.
- Provide technical leadership and decision-making for piping engineering work.
- Participate in safety and design reviews.
- Assist during construction and installation activities.
- Liaise with client's senior management on piping progress and issues.
- Troubleshoot piping design issues and resolve engineering or fabrication problems.
- Attend progress meetings and generate status reports.
- Manage change processes, including review of proposals.
- Assist construction with technical queries and details.
- Collaborate with construction to eliminate hazards and ensure safety and environmental standards.
- Resolve technical piping problems and coordinate solutions.
- Ensure quality and schedule adherence in all work.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of piping discipline requirements and applicable standards.

Expected
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with at least 15+ years of relevant experience in offshore/onshore oil & gas, including 5+ years in GCC region.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role managing teams in mega oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
- Offshore experience is essential; ADNOC experience is preferred.
- FEED experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge of engineering software and business tools.
- Experience working in multi-project, multi-discipline environments through all project phases.
- Experience in the Middle East is advantageous.
