Astra ProMed is seeking a highly qualified Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The role requires extensive expertise in trauma management, fracture treatment, and joint disorders, with strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will perform arthroscopic procedures, joint replacement surgeries when trained, and lead comprehensive pre- and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree is required.
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist-level qualification is required.
• Internationally recognized qualifications (American/UK/European) are highly desirable.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred, subject to licensing.
• Strong expertise in orthopedic trauma, fracture management, and joint procedures.
• Eligible for DHA Specialist Orthopedic Surgery classification/license in Dubai, subject to UAE PQR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal disorders, fractures, joint diseases, and orthopedic injuries.
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures, including fracture fixation, joint reconstruction, and arthroscopic procedures, within authorized clinical privileges.
• Evaluate and manage sports injuries, ligament tears, tendon injuries, and degenerative joint conditions.
• Provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for fractures, dislocations, and musculoskeletal trauma.
• Perform arthroscopic procedures and joint replacement surgeries when trained and credentialed.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Interpret diagnostic investigations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage surgical complications.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
