We Staffed HR is seeking a qualified Specialist Ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, diagnose and treat eye conditions, and perform ophthalmic procedures within their scope of practice.

The role involves conducting eye examinations, managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with nurses and technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and ophthalmic assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries appropriate to training and scope of practice.
• Assess patients for surgical intervention and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments.
• Educate patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive eye care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive ophthalmic care, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, and performing appropriate ophthalmic procedures within their scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and ophthalmic assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries appropriate to the physician's training and scope of practice.
• Assess patients for surgical intervention and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans when required.
• Manage acute and chronic ophthalmic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments.
• Educate patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive eye care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Refer patients to appropriate subspecialists when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with optometrists, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Relevant post-qualification clinical experience is required.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and patient-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
