Specialist - Marketing

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Specialist to join the EMEA Marketing team. The candidate will focus on Wesco Anixter’s Growth Initiatives, promoting our value proposition and strategies for the EMEA region, based in the Middle East.

The role will be responsible for bringing to life our Growth Initiatives through careful strategizing and delivery of impactful marketing programs. Our Growth Initiatives include driving Wesco Anixter’s value within our Data Centre offering and our Supply Chain Solutions value proposition, amongst others. Day to day tasks include working closely with the commercial leaders and global marketing teams to build and execute targeted campaigns, activating our brand in focus areas, and measuring the impact to enable constant evolution. Experience in the industry would be an advantage. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Typically requires 3 years minimum experience in a similar role. The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the EMEA commercial teams and central marketing team to develop and execute localized and regional marketing initiatives.
2. Manage relationships with local PR agencies to enhance market penetration and actively participate in local Middle East based industry associations.
3. Provide essential local market expertise and provide direct support to the regional sales team.
4. Coordinate with key contacts for implementation and communication of marketing programs and projects from concept development to finished product, including development of marketing collateral, content creation, thought leadership activities and digital marketing.
5. Assist with research and analysis activities such as customer research, and competitor analysis within the Middle East and greater EMEA region, as needed. Support the specific sales and marketing needs at a national, regional, and local level.

Qualifications:

1. Marketing strategy and implementation, including a working knowledge of multi-channel marketing.
2. Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and at least basic- to intermediate-level HTML skills.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with an ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.
4. Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to spot questionable information or unusual data trends, combined with a disciplined problem-solving process that applies conceptual thinking to identify root cause(s) and provide appropriate solution(s).
5. Highly organized and detail oriented, with a customer-centric focus and commitment to quality.
6. Able to spot new and evaluate existing business opportunities, including the ability to ask good questions, look beyond the obvious, and see the “big picture.”
7. Strong creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and entrepreneurial drive; able to work with autonomy and self-direction.
8. Able to influence others through effective negotiation techniques and strong interpersonal skills, meet deadlines, and deliver results.

12. Knowledge of industry, including suppliers, customers, competition, trends and advances in eCommerce and digital marketing, and WESCO’s business lines, strengths and challenges is preferred.
