An established industry player is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead technical expertise in rotating equipment for offshore operations. This role involves supervising installations, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards. With a focus on mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a crucial role in enhancing equipment reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and leadership for all rotating equipment offshore.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of rotating equipment during brownfield or greenfield projects.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for rotating equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, and third-party specialists to resolve equipment issues.
Lead condition monitoring and vibration analysis programs.
Ensure maintenance strategies and performance meet integrity and reliability standards.
Prepare and review technical documentation including datasheets, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Interface with multidisciplinary teams: mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards and operational procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years in offshore oil & gas operations.
Strong knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant standards.
Expertise in rotating machinery such as centrifugal & reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, pumps, diesel engines, and gearboxes.
Proficient in CMMS tools (SAP, Maximo), and condition monitoring software.
Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, HUET, Medical, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.
