Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Specialist Gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat a broad range of GI and liver diseases. You will perform advanced procedures, manage complex cases, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a leading healthcare environment.

The role requires a medical degree and specialist qualification in Gastroenterology, plus UAE licensure or eligibility. Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred, and a supportive multidisciplinary team awaits.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completed residency and specialist qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Board Certification or Arab Board, CCT, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• UAE clinical experience preferred.
• Arabic-speaking candidates preferred.
• Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH Licence or Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Evaluate and manage liver, pancreatic, and intestinal disorders.
• Develop personalised treatment and follow‑up plans.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and endoscopic findings.
• Provide outpatient consultations and inpatient gastroenterology care.
• Educate patients regarding digestive health and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives.
