Job summary

Talentspoc is seeking a Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of GI and hepatobiliary disorders in our Dubai facility. You will perform endoscopy and colonoscopy, review tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans while maintaining patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has MRCP/MD or equivalent, 3+ years post-specialization, excellent communication, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree required.
• Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MRCP or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and endoscopic expertise expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, history-taking and GI examinations.
• Diagnose and manage GI, liver and pancreatic disorders.
• Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (EGD/colonoscopy).
• Review labs, imaging and pathology to plan treatment.
• Provide preventive and follow-up GI care.
• Refer for surgical or multidisciplinary management when needed.
• Maintain records and ensure UAE healthcare standards.

Job description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for a Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical and endoscopic expertise with a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, comprehensive history-taking, and gastrointestinal examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic disorders.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage conditions such as GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and GI bleeding.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform appropriate endoscopic interventions within the scope of expertise.
• Review laboratory, imaging, endoscopy, and pathology results and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide preventive and follow-up care for chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Refer patients for surgical or multidisciplinary management when required.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

• MD / MS / DNB / MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology or a recognized equivalent specialty qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology.
• Endoscopy and colonoscopy experience is highly desirable.
