flydubai is seeking an experienced Fatigue Risk Management specialist to identify, assess, and mitigate fatigue-related risks across flight operations. The role focuses on safeguarding fitness for duty, regulatory compliance, and continuous safety improvements through data-driven risk management.

You will lead FRM manual initiatives, oversee data trends, and collaborate with engineering, flight operations, and safety teams to enhance fatigue mitigation strategies and performance indicators.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in aviation in a technical/operational role.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Fatigue Risk Management practices and relevant software.
  • ATPL/AMEL/FCAL are advantageous qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Leads development, implementation and maintenance of Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) Manual for Flight Crew, Cabin Crew, and Engineering.
  • Analyzes fatigue data trends and metrics to identify risks and inform proactive decisions.
  • Acts as SME for fatigue risk, providing insights on mitigation and operational improvement.
  • Leads governance and coordination of fatigue-related forums with cross-unit alignment.
  • Supports safeguarding Safety Performance Indicators related to fatigue and human performance.
  • Reviews scientific literature, regulatory updates to improve FRM practices.
  • Drives assurance activities to monitor FRMS implementation and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of FRM methodologies and industry trends.
  • Leads integration and optimization of fatigue risk management software for data capture and reporting.
  • Prepares communications to crew populations to promote fatigue awareness and safety culture.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To identify, assess, and mitigate fatigue-related risks in order to safeguard employee fitness for duty, operational readiness, and overall safety by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices through data-driven risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To identify, assess, and mitigate fatigue-related risks in order to safeguard employee fitness for duty, operational readiness, and overall safety by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices through data-driven risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development, enhancement, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) Manual for Flight Crew, Cabin Crew, and Engineering, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Analyzes fatigue-related data trends and operational metrics, identifying emerging risks and providing evidence-based insights and recommendations to support proactive decision-making and continuous improvement of fatigue mitigation strategies.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) and provides expertise on fatigue risk, supporting senior management with insights and recommendations on mitigation strategies and operational improvements.
  • Leads the governance and coordination of all fatigue-related forums, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, decision tracking, and alignment across business units.
  • Supports operational departments in the development and monitoring of Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) related to fatigue and human performance.
  • Reviews of scientific literature, regulatory updates, and industry publications to inform continuous improvement of FRM practices and processes.
  • Drives assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of FRMS implementation, ensuring compliance with GCAA regulations, ICAO standards, and global aviation best practices.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of fatigue risk management methodologies, policies, and industry trends to support operational excellence.
  • Leads and manages the integration and optimisation of fatigue risk management software solution, ensuring effective data capture, analysis and reporting to enhance decision-making and FRM.
  • Prepares and disseminates regular communications to crew populations, promoting awareness of fatigue risks and reinforcing a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
  • Specialization in Fatigue Management, Human Factors, Safety, or Sciences .
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in aviation environment in a technical capacity or operational
  • Working knowledge of AIMS, AMOS, FRMs software
  • Years with qualifications: 7 - 9 years
  • Fatigue Risk Management Certificate will be an advantage.
  • ATPL, AMEL, FCAL will be an advantage.

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
