Job summary

Astra ProMed is seeking a Specialist Endocrinologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE. The role emphasizes diabetes management, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic diseases with comprehensive patient care.

The successful candidate will diagnose and manage endocrine disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure adherence to DHA regulations and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognised medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, with Endocrinology fellowship.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist-level qualification.
• Post-specialization clinical experience in Endocrinology as per UAE PQR.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, and hormonal imbalances.
• Evaluate and treat pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid, and other endocrine disorders.
• Manage obesity, metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis and metabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for chronic endocrine diseases.
• Interpret hormonal tests, glucose monitoring results and endocrine investigations.
• Prescribe and monitor insulin therapy and endocrine medications.
• Manage diabetes-related complications and provide preventive care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and follow-up consultations.
• Educate patients on lifestyle changes, diabetes management, nutrition, and prevention.
• Collaborate with diabetologists, dietitians, nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure DHA regulations and endocrine guidelines compliance.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Endocrinologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in diabetes management, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic diseases. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, patient-centered care, and a commitment to delivering high-quality endocrinology services.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, and hormonal imbalances.
• Evaluate and treat pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid, and other endocrine gland disorders.
• Manage obesity, metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, and endocrine-related metabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic endocrine diseases.
• Interpret hormonal investigations, glucose monitoring results, and endocrine diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe and monitor insulin therapy, hormonal treatments, and other endocrine medications.
• Manage diabetes-related complications and provide preventive care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and regular follow-up consultations.
• Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, diabetes management, nutrition, and long‑term disease prevention.
• Collaborate with diabetologists, dietitians, nephrologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, endocrine treatment guidelines, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, followed by appropriate specialization or fellowship training in Endocrinology.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist‑level qualification.
• Relevant post‑specialization clinical experience in Endocrinology, as required by the applicable UAE PQR.
• Strong expertise in diabetes management, thyroid diseases, hormonal disorders, and metabolic conditions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills.
• Experience with modern diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy, is preferred.
• Eligible for DHA Specialist Endocrinology classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
