Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking an experienced Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician to join a leading hospital. You will deliver high-quality emergency care, manage acute presentations, and work with multidisciplinary teams to stabilise patients and coordinate onward care.

The role requires recognised specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine, DHA licensing eligibility, and strong communication in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised Specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine.
• Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely treatment for acute emergencies.
• Stabilise critically ill patients and coordinate onward care.
• Manage trauma, medical and other emergency presentations.
• Order and interpret relevant investigations and imaging.
• Perform emergency procedures as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise junior staff.
• Contribute to resuscitation and patient safety initiatives.

We're Hiring | Specialist Emergency Medicine

Location: Dubai

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care, managing acute and complex presentations, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely treatment for acute and emergency medical conditions.
• Stabilise critically ill and injured patients and coordinate appropriate onward care.
• Manage medical, surgical, trauma and other emergency presentations within the scope of practice.
• Order and interpret relevant laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging.
• Perform appropriate emergency procedures and interventions.
• Collaborate with specialists, consultants, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in resuscitation and emergency response activities.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
• Provide safe discharge planning, follow-up recommendations and appropriate referrals.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior medical staff where required

Requirements

Qualifications

• Recognised Specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Relevant postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong clinical experience in a hospital Emergency Department.
• Experience managing a broad range of adult and/or paediatric emergency presentations, depending on departmental requirements.
• Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.
• Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinical environment

Benefits

• The maximum package is AED 45,000 per month, inclusive of housing and travel allowance. The package also includes:
  • 1 month hotel accommodation upon arrival in Dubai.
