Specialist Content Development

Job Objective

Create original content for UAE Accountability Authority's (UAEAA) digital media platforms, press releases, and other relevant publications ensuring adherence to the Authority's communication policies, procedures and guidelines, and UAEAA Government-wide communications guidelines.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Strategy and Planning:

1. Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals and standard forms, and ensure alignment with UAEAA's overall policies and procedures.
2. Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of the sections strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans ensuring alignment with the department and sector strategy and objectives, and UAEAA's vision.
3. Assist in the development of the section Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure to meet individual KPIs to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Operations:

1. Develop content strategies, research content trends and create content for UAEAA, ensuring consistency across all communications and digital media platforms.
2. Create content for crisis management communication in collaboration with Business Continuity section to provide clear and consistent communication to all employees during emergency/disaster.
3. Collaborate with the Media Operations team and graphic designers to brainstorm and develop creative content ideas and define content goals.
4. Proofread and edit all contents prior to publication to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy of information.
5. Analyse the performance of content based on multiple Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as, unique page views, conversion rates, and the average time on page.
6. Identify content setbacks and effectiveness, and determine the best content strategy moving forward.
7. Analyse performance indicators and web traffic of UAEAA's digital media platforms, identifying areas where the content requires improvement.
8. Work together with other relevant organizational units to determine subjects and relevant areas to generate creative content.
9. Adhere to UAEAA editorial guidelines on fast-paced, multi-faceted projects to ensure a consistent tone across touchpoints.
10. Reinforce clear workflows to plan, prioritize and deliver high-quality content artefacts in multi-team set-ups.
11. Own all copy-related activities and processes, including final proofreading and approval.
12. Support in developing online social media campaign ideas for specific target audiences while succinctly communicating UAEAA positioning and internal KPIs.
13. Adhere to the UAE copyright law in order to protect intellectual property rights and avoid copyright infringement.

Talent Management And Development:

1. Ensure completion of required trainings and certification programs in order to keep current with job requirements and ensure continuous performance improvements.
2. Obtain timely performance review assessments for midyear and annual performance review and ensure to meet the set KPIs.
3. Keep current with updated information relevant to the role to ensure standard performance level is achieved.
4. Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing to build internal capabilities of the team and maximize their effective performance.
5. Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the objectives of the Authority and its Emiratization strategy.

Corporate:

1. Ensure adherence and compliance with all UAEAA corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety, etc.).
2. Prepare section's related correspondence such as e-mails, memos, and letters to ensure professionalism, completeness and accuracy of information.
3. Retain, document, preserve, and archive section's related physical and electronic records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
4. Respond to any section related queries and provide required support to relevant UAEAA's organizational units and employees as and when required.
5. Utilize relevant technologies used within UAEAA in order to optimize work efficiency.
6. Demonstrate compliance with UAEAA's values, Code of Business Conduct and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value driven culture within the Authority.
7. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
8. Contribute to the preparation and submission of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, and quality standards.
9. Co-operate in the implementation of the relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures, in the performance of duties.

General:

1. The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity.
2. The academic and professional certificates required and approved by UAEAA should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employee's Individual Development Plan.
3. Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities.
4. Ensure teamwork, collaboration, and dedication in performing duties.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communication, or related fields.
2. 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in Content Development.
3. Proficiency in Arabic and English.
4. Preferred Project Management Professional.
