In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex conditions of the abdominal organs, including the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract.

As a Specialist Consultant Visceral Surgeon, you will perform advanced surgical procedures and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients. Your expertise in both open and minimally invasive techniques will be essential in achieving optimal patient outcomes and improving overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed evaluations and assessments of patients with visceral disorders.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, such as CT scans and MRIs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and best practices.
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgery.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure successful recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Specialist Consultant Visceral Surgeon.
• Completion of a recognized residency program in General Surgery.
• Additional training or fellowship experience in Visceral or Abdominal Surgery is preferred.
• Proven track record of performing advanced visceral surgical procedures.
• Strong expertise in both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members.
