Overview of the Role :

The Specialist Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing medical illnesses and providing treatment, focusing on the overall health of the patient, including physical, psychological, and social aspects of care.

What you will do :

• Provide comprehensive Cardiology care to patients according to current evidence-based standards, using best judgment and in accordance with Al-Futtaim Health Medical Staff bylaws and regulations.
• Consult with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
• Perform tests to assess the health of patients' hearts and cardiovascular systems.
• Use medical imaging equipment for diagnosis and treatment of heart and cardiovascular conditions.
• Prescribe medications for heart and cardiovascular diseases.
• Support and advise patients on long-term care.
• Train and support junior staff as needed.
• Participate in the on-call roster.
• Oversee and contribute to the professional development of junior medical staff.
• Engage in educational activities of the medical staff.
• Conduct clinical audits as per medical advisory committee requirements.
• Participate in departmental development and healthcare facility planning activities.
• Promote the department and Al-Futtaim Health to the public and medical community.
• Maintain professional competency through continuous education.
• Ensure patient safety by practicing ethical medical practices in accordance with local regulations.
• Make informed diagnoses based on medical history, examinations, and test results.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and provide administration instructions.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions regarding patient care.
• Provide expert opinions and assume responsibility for patient care.
• Develop and implement healthcare management plans in collaboration with patients.
• Provide holistic care and health education.
• Manage patient admissions and discharges, coordinating referrals as necessary.
• Assess and manage patients systematically based on clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with other specialist services to optimize care.
• Prescribe in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols.
• Perform all duties typical of a Specialist Cardiologist working with primary care providers.
