Job Description
To ensure that all Capital Markets related transactions executed by the Global Markets department are successfully matched, validated, confirmed, and settled within the agreed timeframes in the appropriate systems. To ensure that all lifecycle events are captured, booked, and instructed accurately. To monitor all breaks derived from the reconciliation report, resolve them, and escalate where necessary.

Team Work
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks efficiently, following operating procedures and policies.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, systems, and procedures for the team to ensure compliance with relevant requirements while delivering quality, cost-effective services.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering global standards, productivity, and cost reduction.
Reporting
- Prepare sectional statements and reports accurately and timely to meet FAB and department standards.
Specific Accountability
- Accountable for accurate and timely validation, confirmation, matching, and settlement of all securities traded by the Global Markets team.
- Make informed decisions and escalate issues when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with international clients, demonstrating professionalism and ownership of issues while keeping clients informed.
- Service operational requirements for various international FAB offices, including London, Hong Kong, Oman, and Cayman Islands.
- Adhere to applicable regulations based on jurisdiction.
Validation & Confirmation of Trades
- Validate all security transactions within the agreed turnaround time using Murex.
- Send trade confirmations to counterparties promptly.
- Allocate matched deals to onboarded funds via Omgeo system.
- Upload securities trades into EUCLID / Clearstream / JP Morgan for settlement.
Settlement of Trades
- Ensure trades booked in Murex match on the value date.
- Transfer net settlement amounts to custodians before cutoff.
- Follow up on unsettled or unmatched trades.
- Resolve reconciliation issues.
- Settle coupons and corporate actions timely.
- Participate in daily meetings to address concerns.
- Adhere strictly to bank policies and procedures.
- Support business development projects.
- Document and update relevant SOPs.
- Maintain daily updates of KRI reports and adhere to reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in banking, including at least 2 years in similar operational roles with increasing responsibilities.
