Job description

A Spa Therapist is responsible for providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice, and tours of the facilities. Maintaining safety and cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction regarding all areas of Spa services in accordance with company standards.



What will I be doing?

As a Spa Therapist, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Attending Hilton Trainings and monthly departmental meetings as required.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness in the department.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues to the Recreation & Spa Manager.
  • Assisting in all areas of operations as requested by the Recreation & Spa Manager.
  • Being fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel.
  • Ensuring departmental operation budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses.
  • Providing efficient guest service from arrival to check-out, including booking, changing, and canceling appointments, and upselling retail.
  • Accurately scheduling all massage reservations, confirmations, and cancellations.
  • Processing billing and posting for spa and retail services accurately; reporting overages and shortages to the Recreation & Spa Manager.
  • Explaining spa treatment menu and packages to guests effectively.
  • Greeting and welcoming all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance with brand standards.
  • Maintaining the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge, and restrooms.
  • Ensuring proper cleanliness of locker rooms, lounges, steam/sauna rooms, prep rooms, and restrooms.
  • Stocking water and beverages and setting up/breaking down beverage and fruit stations.
  • Assisting guests and providing personal training sessions if necessary.
  • Maintaining fitness equipment and coordinating with Precor representatives for maintenance and updates.
  • Ensuring audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition.
  • Providing courteous and efficient guest service from arrival through check-out.
  • Orienting guests to our fitness facilities, greeting guests, and providing personal guest service.

A Spa Therapist serving Hilton Brand hotels and vacations is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service industry is required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking in front of groups.
  • Ability to handle problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the spa or hospitality industry.

It would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience in a resort or wellness-related field.
