- Be responsible for spa treatment consultations and identification of possible contraindications.
- Be responsible for performing beauty therapy treatments, massage and body therapy treatments and specialized treatments for the members and guests to the required standard and provide guests with home-care well-being program.
- Be responsible for after care advice for the member of guest
- Be responsible for achieving retail sales
- Ensure that all treatment rooms and therapy back of house areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure that all equipment is serviced as part of a preventative maintenance program
- Carry out spa tours and spa consultations with guests and members, giving personalized advice and promote facilities, treatments and products
- Assist during spa promotions and events
- Assist with marketing and public relations
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
- Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and / or discounts available
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
- Ensure correct records are kept for member and guest visits, treatments and purchases
- Ensure correct information is recorded for stock control in accordance with the Senior Therapist
- Be responsible for treatment laundry stock inventory and security
- Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified
- Ensure that all staff within the department works in a manner, unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to themselves or others.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Posses active license or certification in related field
- One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
