Job description

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Spa Department in Dubai, the Spa Therapist is responsible for, but not limited to performing as trained all spa treatments to guests in a professional and pleasant manner. Spa Therapist reports to Spa Treatments Manager.

As a Spa Therapist, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Understand and comply with all corporate and hotel policies, SOPs, and the MOHG Code of Conduct; support learning and development activities.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to LQE and Forbes standards, protect confidential information, and comply with the MOHG Social Media Policy.
  • Act as a hotel ambassador, perform any additional duties assigned by management, and follow procedures as directed by the Spa Treatments Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all spa and wellness areas, including treatment rooms, reception, retail, pantry, lounges, and thermal facilities.
  • Deliver treatments to the highest standard, ensure guest comfort, manage appointment schedules, and interact courteously with guests.
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions, report faulty equipment, maintain supply inventory, and participate in events and demonstrations.

As a Spa Therapist, we expect from you:

  • Senior school qualification is required; beauty school graduate is preferred.
  • CIBTAC/CIDESCO certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Spa Therapist or Beautician is required.
  • Experience in 5-star hotels or the Middle East region is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills and clear English communication (verbal and written) are important.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, mature, outgoing, and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
