Able to provide Rosewood Abu Dhabi guests and staff a unique and outstanding locker room / spa experience. Provide effective and efficient guest service. Provide members / guests with extensive knowledge of the spa, in order to enhance their visit and promote The Spa at Rosewood, ensuring the highest level of service to increase sales and encourage repeat business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental Rosewood policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Maintain knowledge of proper maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of how busy it is or the time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
- Follow Spa opening procedures.
- Report to work in appropriate uniform, on time, well-groomed according to Rosewood Abu Dhabi guidelines.
- Assist members/guests with reservations and information related to spa, dining, and other services.
- Assist with locker key administration, towel, robe, sandal, and amenities maintenance, and support lounge Food and Beverage service as needed.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and follow up on comments, concerns, and suggestions from staff, members, and guests.
- Explain and promote all spa facilities, services, and activities.
- Be knowledgeable about all aspects of spa services, programming, and reservations.
- Manage locker room supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Strive to improve procedures at the spa attendant’s desk and provide all related activities to staff and members/guests.
- Follow spa policies and procedures, modeling and reinforcing standards set by The Spa at Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
- Provide updates and accurate information regarding spa policies and activities.
- Attend all training sessions regularly.
- Maintain cooperative relations with co-workers and adhere to company guidelines and core values.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a standard of excellence in professional image and service.
- Perform any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury spa environment, preferably within a luxury hotel. Background in fitness education and/or health-related disciplines is an asset.
High school diploma required; a diploma or degree in a related field or a vocational training certificate, along with CPR certification, is preferred.
- Skills include attention to detail, speed, accuracy, organization, good judgment, teamwork, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently.
Technical skills required include the ability to perform job functions efficiently, prioritize tasks, resolve problems calmly, follow directions, understand guest needs, and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of SpaSoft is an asset.
- Language: Must speak, read, and write English fluently; additional languages are an asset.
Physical requirements include the ability to perform physical movements, reach, and communicate effectively with guests and co-workers throughout work periods.
