Qualifications

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices; ServSafe is preferred.

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of ingredients for South Indian dishes including washing, peeling, chopping and measuring.
• Support senior chefs in cooking and plating South Indian specialties.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly.
• Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
• Participate in kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and recipes.
• Contribute to a positive and teamwork-oriented kitchen environment.
