Job summary

Atlantis, The Palm is seeking a skilled culinary leader to assist the Chef de Cuisine in maintaining the highest kitchen standards while ensuring impeccable hygiene and stock control. You will coordinate across departments and train staff to uphold service excellence in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Catering with at least 5 years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership in a 5-star or Michelin-star environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Catering with a minimum of 5 years’ professional kitchen experience.
• Experience with a variety of cuisines, or a specific cuisine related to the position.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional cuisine; industry recognition or awards preferred.
• Experience in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-star restaurant with leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Cuisine to lead, manage and organize all requirements to the highest standards in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the areas under your jurisdiction.
• Ensure adequate stocks of working materials.
• Coordinate inter–department coordination and training.
• Direct, supervise, and motivate staff to perform to the highest level of service.

About The Role

• Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the areas under your jurisdiction.
• Ensure adequate stocks of working materials.
• Coordinate inter–department coordination and training.
• Ensure and enforce the set service standard procedures by directing, supervising, and motivating staff to perform to their highest level of service.

About You

• The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Catering with a minimum of 5 years’ professional kitchen experience.
• Relevant experience of a variety of cuisines, or a specific style of cuisine related to the position is also required.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional standard of cuisine, supported by industry recognition or awards, is preferred.
• Experience in a similar role within a 5-star Hotel or in a Michelin Star Restaurant together with suitable experience in leadership is essential in this role.
