Job summary

Atlantis, The Palm is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to assist the Chef de Cuisine in delivering premier dining experiences in a luxury hotel setting on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. You will lead kitchen operations, uphold high standards of cuisine, and mentor a diverse team of culinary professionals.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Catering with at least five years of professional kitchen experience, and has demonstrated leadership in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-starred environment.

About The Role

As a Sous Chef – you will be assisting the Chef de Cuisine to lead, manage and organize all requirements to the highest standards in accordance with the standard operating procedures. You will ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the areas under your jurisdiction, adequate stocks of working materials, inter–department coordination and training. You must ensure and enforce the set service standard procedures by directing, supervising, and motivating staff to perform to their highest level of service.

About You

The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Catering with a minimum of 5 years’ professional kitchen experience. Relevant experience of a variety of cuisines, or a specific style of cuisine related to the position is also required. Demonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional standard of cuisine, supported by industry recognition or awards, is preferred. Experience in a similar role within a 5-star Hotel or in a Michelin Star Restaurant together with suitable experience in leadership is essential in this role.
