Job description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As the second-in-command in our kitchen you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supporting the Executive Chef in daily operations.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning recipe development and kitchen management
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality presentation and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and health standards
  • Oversee food preparation cooking techniques and plating to maintain consistency
  • Manage inventory control costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in menu tastings and special events as required
  • Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary assuming full kitchen leadership

Qualifications :

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant setting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sous chef or similar leadership role
  • Demonstrated passion and creativity for food ingredients and flavors
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene health and safety standards
  • Proficiency in menu planning recipe development and cost control
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine is a plus
