Job summary

Washmen in Dubai is seeking a reliable Laundry Attendant to manage the daily flow of washing, drying, folding and organizing linens and garments. You will follow care instructions, operate commercial equipment, and ensure hygiene standards are met.

This role supports guest service by handling requests promptly and maintaining inventory, contributing to smooth operations in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry, housekeeping or similar roles.
• Basic English reading, writing and speaking.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press laundry items.
• Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or special treatment requirements.
• Treat stains using appropriate cleaning techniques and products.
• Keep laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
• Track inventory of linens, detergents, and supplies.
• Handle guest or client laundry requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow company procedures for lost-and-found items.
• Assist with additional housekeeping or operational tasks when required

Role Purpose

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient and high-quality cleaning, drying, folding, and organizing of linens, garments, and other laundry items. This role ensures cleanliness standards are consistently met and supports smooth daily operations within the facility

Key Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press laundry items according to fabric type and care instructions
• Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or special treatment requirements
• Treat stains using appropriate cleaning techniques and products
• Keep laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards
• Track inventory of linens, detergents, and supplies; report shortages as needed
• Handle guest or client laundry requests promptly and professionally (if applicable)
• Follow company procedures for lost-and-found items
• Assist with additional housekeeping or operational tasks when required

Key Skills & Competencies

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or similar roles preferred
• Basic English(Read, Write, Speak)
• Basic Computer Knowledge

Work Environment

• Fast-paced setting such as commercial laundry facility
• Requires lifting up to 20–25 kg and working in warm environments
• Shift-based schedule, including weekends or holidays depending on business need
