Job summary

Yosh Hospitality LLC OPC in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated laundry attendant to support hotel operations by sorting, washing, drying, pressing and distributing linens, towels, uniforms and other laundry items to guest rooms and departments.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team. Training may be provided, with shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry/housekeeping role is desirable; training may be provided.
• Understanding of laundry processes, fabric care and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, schedules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, press, fold and distribute linen, towels, uniforms and other laundry items.
• Operate washing machines, tumble dryers, irons and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and report or repair as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of laundry received, processed and delivered; prepare orders for guest rooms and departments.
• Follow health, safety, fire safety and infection prevention procedures; keep work areas clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

Collect sort wash dry press fold and distribute hotel linen towels uniforms and other laundry items in accordance with established procedures Inspect items for stains damage wear or missing buttons and treat repair or report them as appropriate Operate washing machines tumble dryers irons presses and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently following operating instructions Use detergents stain removers and other laundry chemicals correctly observing product instructions COSHH requirements and PPE procedures Separate laundry by colour fabric type care instructions and level of soiling to help achieve the required cleaning and hygiene standards Measure and use laundry products appropriately and report low stock or replenishment requirements to the supervisor or manager Fold sort label and store clean items neatly and prepare orders for timely distribution to guest rooms departments or other designated areas Maintain accurate records of laundry received processed delivered or sent for external cleaning completing required checklists and documentation Keep the laundry room equipment work surfaces storage areas and linen trolleys clean organised and secure Follow laundry schedules and prioritise work to meet operational requirements and agreed turnaround times Handle guest laundry and personal belongings with care maintain confidentiality and follow procedures for lost property and special requests Report equipment faults maintenance requirements damaged items safety hazards and incidents promptly to the appropriate manager Follow health and safety fire safety manual handling infection prevention emergency and security procedures Work cooperatively with housekeeping and other departments to support the timely supply of clean linen towels and uniforms Perform other relevant laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements

Previous experience in a laundry housekeeping or similar role is desirable training may be provided Understanding of laundry processes fabric care hygiene standards and the safe handling of cleaning products and equipment Ability to follow instructions care labels schedules and health and safety procedures accurately Good attention to detail when inspecting sorting treating and folding laundry items Ability to organise tasks manage time effectively and meet turnaround requirements in a busy working environment Reliable punctual trustworthy and able to handle guest belongings and company property responsibly Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and bend reach push pull and lift laundry bags or linen as required Comfortable working around heat noise cleaning products and laundry equipment while following safety procedures Flexible to work shifts including early mornings evenings weekends and public holidays in line with business requirements
