What We re Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of Sommelier
experience in a Luxury Hotel environment in the UAE.
- The ability to Recommend
Appropriate Wine Pairings to complement the flavours of various Masterpieces on
the Menu.
- Sophisticated Knowledge of
wines, regions, grape varieties and wine-making techniques, taking every
opportunity to educate both Guests and Fellow FIVERs .
- Computer literacy, with a
mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook, while possessing an exceptional knowledge
of Hotel PMS, specifically Opera.
- An energetic
Conversationalist, engaging Guests with lively discussions.
- A strong understanding of
Industry Regulations is beneficial.
- A Proactive Nature, coupled
with a meticulous Eye for Detail, ensuring every aspect of the Operation is
curated to perfection.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, leveraging strong verbal and written
skills to engage effectively with guests, FIVE Tribe Members, and stakeholders.

menu updates.
- Coordinates with esteemed
Wine Purveyors to stay abreast of Wine Trends, resulting in an

- Maintains an
industry-leading Wine List, updating it regularly to exceed Guest
expectations.
- Spearheads Special
Projects to elevate FIVE's position as a boundary-breaking Market Leader
in the Beverage Industry.
- Actively participates in
daily and monthly Food and Beverage Meetings, Contributing to the
disruptive 'Vibe at FIVE.'
- Conducts one-on-one Sommelier
Meetings to set and monitor Bold Targets and Achievements.
- Creates an ambitious Budget
Plan, meticulously recording and monitoring sales and costs records.
- Develops and delivers FIVE-Star
'FIVER' Training Programmes, enhancing the FIVE Tribe's knowledge and
expertise.
- Ensures Strict Compliance
with all Licensing Laws, Setting the Gold Standard of Professionalism and Integrity.
- Regularly inspects the Quality
of opened wine in all Food and Beverage Concepts, ensuring FIVE's
sensational Reputation is always Upheld.
- Maintains and handles
Beverage Service equipment with stunning Precision.
- Implements a visionary Stock
Control System, ensuring the proper use, storage, and cleaning of all
equipment.
