Job summary

Andersen Lab is seeking a Solutions Architect for the UAE to lead end-to-end architecture for a back-office/core banking initiative. You will translate requirements into scalable blueprints, design phasing, and evaluate build-vs-buy options while mitigating risks.

Remote and hybrid work are available; the role emphasizes stakeholder communication, modern distributed architectures, and a strong banking domain background. UAE market experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in enterprise-grade systems (3+ years).
• Strong background in back-office, core banking or trading platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for a back-office / core banking platform initiative.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical architecture and design blueprints.
• Define and propose the phasing / delivery roadmap for moving the program forward, including sequencing of design, build, and rollout stages.
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs across platform, integration, and delivery approach options (e.g. build vs. buy vs. customize).
• Assess integration requirements with adjacent systems (e.g. OMS, banking interfaces, front-end applications, and other core platforms).
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints early, and propose mitigations.
• Act as the technical point of reference for the client and any delivery partners involved in the program, ensuring architectural consistency.
• Present architecture and phasing recommendations clearly to client stakeholders.

Andersen is hiring a Solutions Architect for the UAE to support the digital transformation of a financial institution and design scalable technology solutions for modern financial services.

The customer is a UAE-based public financial institution headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority, it offers a comprehensive range of financial services, including brokerage, asset management, corporate finance advisory, and market making. Through strategic partnerships in the GCC region and a focus on digital innovation – such as a proprietary trading app and expanded access to global markets – the customer continues to strengthen its market position and deliver value-driven, sustainable financial solutions.

The project is focused on supporting the digital development of a UAE-based financial institution offering brokerage, asset management, lending, market‑making, advisory, and research services. It aims to enhance operational efficiency, modernize financial services, and strengthen the company’s technology capabilities.

Skills

Must-haves

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect (or equivalent senior architecture role) designing enterprise-grade systems for 3+ years.
• Strong domain background in back-office, core banking, capital markets, or trading platforms (e.g. OMS, post-trade, settlement, treasury, general ledger).
• Experience architecting or advising on the replacement or modernization of legacy / monolithic systems.
• Ability to define technical roadmaps and phasing plans for multi-stage transformation programs.
• Experience evaluating build-vs-buy-vs-customize options for enterprise platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, able to present technical design and trade-offs clearly to senior, non-technical audiences.
• Proficient with architecture development methodologies e.g. C4, ADD, ATAM
• Experience and good understanding of principles with modern distributed scalable cloud native architectures
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate or above.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in brokerage, asset management, market making, or liquidity‑provision businesses.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BIAN
• Experience with technical due diligence or evaluation of acquired / licensed source code.
• Familiarity with API-based, horizontally‑scalable architecture patterns for replacing on‑premise legacy systems
• UAE or GCC market experience.
