Solutions Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to work with multiple teams and business stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge, resilient, and high-performance digital solutions. The ideal candidate will drive the design and implementation of robust Omnichannel Microservices for a leading banking client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect & Design: Lead the design of state-of-the-art digital experiences through the development of resilient, high-performance omnichannel microservices.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, helping them grow in their technical roles and removing blockers to their autonomy.
• Quality, Security & Performance: Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance, ensuring these improvements have a significant impact across teams and the organization.
• Technical Excellence: Solve the most complex technical problems, delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
• Standardization: Define and improve internal standards for code quality, maintainability, and best practices, ensuring they are adhered to through code reviews.
• Innovation: Drive innovation within the team, tackling challenges of immense complexity and scope with a willingness to experiment and try new solutions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the product team to evaluate and create new features. Work on the team roadmap, simplifying technical designs, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Consulting: Act as a consultant and spokesperson for the work of the team when interacting with customers and other external stakeholders.
• Strategic Influence: Work with senior engineers and stakeholders to influence the overall objectives and long-term technical direction of the team.
• Technical Debt Management: Identify and address technical impediments (technical debt) within the team to improve efficiency and iteration speed.
• Monitoring & Security: Lead efforts to implement effective monitoring strategies and work closely with the security team to refine security standards and practices.

Key Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java, JEE, Spring frameworks.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in software development and designing distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of unit testing, test-driven development, and automated testing frameworks.
• Proficient in using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, GIT, Maven, Gradle.
• Experience with multiple application servers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Strong database knowledge (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB).
• Solid experience with Agile methodologies, working in Scrum or Kanban models.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and working in a DevOps-focused environment is a significant plus.
