Qualifications

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Solution Architecture Lead to provide overall architecture leadership for a large-scale, complex technology transformation program in the UAE.

The Solution Architecture Lead will own the end-to-end solution architecture and technical design authority across the program, ensuring that solutions delivered across multiple technology domains are integrated, secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with the overall technology strategy.

This is a senior technical leadership role requiring strong architectural breadth, hands-on solution experience, and the ability to lead architects, technical teams, vendors, and partners within a complex multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Leadership & Strategy

• Own and lead the overall end-to-end solution architecture across the program.
• Define the target solution architecture, architecture roadmap, principles, standards, patterns, and design guardrails.
• Translate complex business and technology requirements into scalable and sustainable architecture solutions.
• Ensure alignment across applications, integration, data, cloud, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, and operational architecture.
• Provide technical direction and architectural leadership throughout the full program lifecycle.
• Ensure architecture decisions support business objectives, operational requirements, scalability, resilience, security, and long-term sustainability.

Architecture Team Leadership

• Lead and coordinate solution architects, domain architects, technical leads, and other architecture resources across the program.
• Establish clear architecture responsibilities and ownership across technology domains.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and direction to architecture and engineering teams.
• Ensure consistency of architecture standards and design principles across all workstreams.
• Resolve cross-domain architecture conflicts and drive technical decision-making.
• Act as the escalation point for complex architectural and technical issues.

Architecture Governance & Design Authority

• Establish and lead architecture governance and design authority processes.
• Chair or facilitate architecture and technical design reviews.
• Review and approve high-level and detailed solution designs.
• Ensure architecture compliance across internal teams, vendors, partners, and technology providers.
• Maintain architectural decisions, standards, principles, patterns, and technical documentation.
• Identify and manage architectural risks, technical debt, constraints, and dependencies.
• Ensure deviations from agreed architecture are appropriately assessed, documented, and governed.

End-to-End Solution Integration

• Ensure effective integration across all technology domains and program workstreams.
• Define and govern integration principles covering APIs, middleware, messaging, microservices, event-driven architectures, data exchange, and external interfaces.
• Identify cross-system dependencies and ensure interoperability across the technology landscape.
• Prevent architecture fragmentation, duplication, and incompatible technology decisions.
• Ensure individual technology components collectively form a coherent end-to-end solution.

Cloud, Infrastructure & Resilience

• Provide architectural oversight across cloud, hybrid infrastructure, compute, storage, network, platforms, and associated services.
• Ensure architecture incorporates appropriate availability, scalability, capacity, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate architectural approaches based on technical, operational, security, and commercial considerations.
• Ensure infrastructure and platform architecture supports application and business requirements.

Security by Design

• Ensure security is embedded throughout the architecture and solution lifecycle.
• Work closely with cybersecurity specialists to incorporate security requirements and controls into solution designs.
• Ensure appropriate consideration of identity and access management, data protection, encryption, network security, monitoring, resilience, and secure integration.
• Ensure architectural designs align with applicable security, governance, compliance, and risk requirements.

Vendor & Partner Architecture Management

• Provide architectural oversight across multiple technology vendors, partners, and delivery teams.
• Review and challenge vendor solution designs and technical proposals.
• Ensure vendor solutions align with the overall target architecture and established standards.
• Identify architectural gaps, overlaps, dependencies, and integration risks across vendor solutions.
• Drive resolution of cross-vendor technical issues and design conflicts.
• Support technical evaluation and selection of platforms, products, and technology solutions.

Stakeholder & Technical Leadership

• Act as the program's senior architecture authority and trusted technical advisor.
• Work closely with Program Leadership, business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and technology partners.
• Present architecture strategies, decisions, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and complex technical decision-making sessions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business implications and recommendations.
• Balance strategic architecture objectives with pragmatic delivery requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of technology experience, with substantial experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technical Architecture leadership.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a Lead Solution Architect, Chief Architect, Solution Architecture Lead, or equivalent on large-scale technology transformation programs.
• Proven experience owning end-to-end architecture across multiple technology domains.
• Strong architectural understanding across applications, systems integration, APIs, data, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and operational technologies.
• Proven experience leading architects, technical leads, and cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong experience within complex multi-vendor and systems integration environments.
• Experience establishing and operating architecture governance and design authority processes.
• Strong understanding of functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, availability, resilience, security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience reviewing and governing vendor and third-party solution designs.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and technical leadership capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience delivering major technology transformation programs in the UAE or wider GCC region.
• Experience leading architecture for large-scale systems integration, digital transformation, cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, cybersecurity, or technology modernization programs.
• Experience working within complex, highly governed enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures, including major platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of modern integration patterns, API management, middleware, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, Archi Mate, or equivalent.
• Relevant architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, or technology certifications are advantageous.
