Job description

Overview

The Solution Architect supports sales by helping secure the “technical close” through collaboration with sales, services, development, and other technical teams to ensure proposed deals include solutions that meet customer needs. The role aligns key customer decision-makers with the solutions and workflows supported by Quorum software.

Responsibilities

  1. Technical Sales Support: Participate in client meetings, provide technical expertise, contribute to account and strategic opportunity planning, identify opportunities, define value propositions, and assist in expanding client relationships. Manage client interactions and develop product presentations. Respond to RFPs and participate in trade-shows, conferences, and seminars.
  2. Understand and Architect Client Workflows: Analyze client workflows, act as a trusted advisor on internal processes, and optimize planning and execution workflows.
  3. Provide Software Demonstrations: Deliver high-quality demos, tailor presentations to client needs, and continuously share knowledge within the team.
  4. Best Practice Design: Develop standards for workflows, document practices, perform discovery to position Quorum products effectively, and stay informed on industry and technology trends. Collaborate with Product Management to align client expectations with development timelines.
  5. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Petroleum Engineering or related field with 7-10 years oil & gas industry experience.
  • Experience with IPM workflows and tools.
  • Familiarity with Petroleum Experts IPM suite, PipeSim, Olga, Hysys, CoFlow.
  • Strong technical understanding of software development and functionality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both remote and in-person.
  • Knowledge of on-premise, cloud solutions, databases, and APIs.
  • Proficiency with Generative AI models.
