Job summary

HTC Global Services invites a skilled Solution & Technology Architect with airline domain expertise to join our onsite team in Abu Dhabi for a 1-year extended contract. You will shape end-to-end architecture across airline value streams, ensuring alignment with regulatory, enterprise standards and IT strategy.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in enterprise architecture, strong experience with SOA/microservices, and proven stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of enterprise architecture design experience.
• Experience with SOA, microservices, and airline domain knowledge.
• SDLC experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; architecture certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end and holistic solution design aligned to architecture standards.
• Create solution intents and low-level design artifacts (ICDs, ICM, etc.).
• Develop design and implementation of solution architecture in agile and waterfall delivery.
• Ensure standards, governance and principles are implemented within value streams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align with technology roadmaps and business capabilities.
• Evaluate new technologies to accelerate delivery of business value.
• Contribute to improve architecture maturity and maintenance of business capability model.

Job Description: Solution & Technology Architect

The purpose of this role is to develop solution architecture for any one of airline domains such as Commercial, Customer, Digital, Cargo, Airport, Engineering, and other enterprise platforms. Working with the assigned value stream, the role will create solution intents conforming to regulatory demands, architectural standards, business requirements, budgets, and IT strategy. This role contributes to our Agile transformation journey by actively working with a value stream initiative to implement cost effective and quality technology solutions.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for end-to-end and holistic solution (for a specific business area) that are aligned to EYG architecture standards and patterns and best practices.
• As an integral part of the value stream, this role is responsible for creating solution intent and necessary low level design artifacts such as ICDs, ICM, etc. This includes contributing to specific design patterns, standards, and implementation of architecture enablers for the value stream on an ongoing basis.
• Develop the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery, enabling innovation, cost efficiency, strategy alignment and speed to market.
• Ensure solution and technology architecture standards, governance and principles are implemented effectively within the Value Streams using the client Well Architected Framework.
• Works closely with all stakeholders in DTI to ensure the solutions defined & developed align with the agreed technology roadmaps, business capabilities, DTI strategy and are implemented as designed.
• Contribute to evaluation and introduction of new technologies that accelerate delivery of expected business value
• Contribute to improve the maturity of Architecture practice, by consistently applying approved patterns, standards, policies, guardrails, and other enablers to deliver business value.
• Assist the maintenance and enhancement of the business capability model and keeping it alive.

Education & Experience

• Solution and Technology Architecture expertise with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in designing Enterprise grade solutions.
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, microservices, and other integration methodologies, ideally in Airline domain
• Experience with the full software development life cycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in stakeholder management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is desirable. One or more Certification in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture is preferred. --- e.g. Well Architected Frameworks, SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, ISEB Architecture.
• Exposure or knowledge in Airline domain (PSS, Airline and Airport Operations, Cargo, Enterprise, Engineering etc.)
• Exposure to SAFe Agile and other methodologies preferred
