MJQ Investment LLC is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to drive testing across web and mobile apps. You will author test plans, execute comprehensive test suites, and maintain automation using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.

API testing, SQL validation and Jira defect tracking are core responsibilities; collaboration in an Agile/Scrum team is essential. The role requires 3-5 years in software testing with automation and strong English communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field is required.
• 3-5 years of hands-on software testing with at least 1 year in test automation.
• Experience with Java, Python or JavaScript and automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• API testing experience, SQL and Git are preferred.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum; ISTQB is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Review requirements and user stories, and write test plans, test scenarios and test cases, including edge cases.
• Run functional, regression, integration and smoke testing for web and mobile applications.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Test REST APIs with Postman or REST Assured, and validate back-end data with SQL queries.
• Log defects in Jira with clear steps to reproduce, track them to closure and retest fixes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
• Support performance testing with JMeter or k6 when required.
• Work with developers and product owners in an Agile/Scrum team, and report test status and release readiness.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Working knowledge of one programming language: Java, Python or JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress (Appium for mobile is an advantage)

• Experience with API testing, SQL and Git

• Good understanding of the software development and testing lifecycles, and of Agile/Scrum

• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and clear written and spoken English

• ISTQB certification is an advantage
