Job summary

Discovered MENA is seeking a Software Engineer to help build and scale cloud-native infrastructure and backend services for high-scale digital products.

You’ll work across backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript, with Kubernetes, GCP, PostgreSQL, Redis and Terraform. This hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience.
• Experience building high-scale, high-performance systems.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GCP, PostgreSQL, Redis or Terraform.
• Experience operating production-grade services.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with agentic/AI-first engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're hiring a Software Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company building high-scale, cloud-native products.

You'll work across backend services and infrastructure, with a core stack of Node.js and TypeScript, alongside technologies including Kubernetes, GCP, PostgreSQL, Redis and Terraform.
