Job description

Responsibilities:

• Execute sprint testing and release testing independently.
• Estimate daily testing tasks for medium and high complexity automation projects.
• Enhance or create automation frameworks to meet different project needs.
• Review automation framework code, considering design patterns, modularization, and user libraries for code reuse.
• Explain automation approaches to peers and clients; work independently on testing solutions.
• Utilize test management tools like TestRail, Jira, or Xray effectively.
• Use test automation tools such as Selenium and Rest Assured proficiently.
• Share best practices on automation testing within the team.

Test Planning and Execution:

• Define and implement test plans and automation approaches aligned with development methodologies for medium complexity tests.
• Manage different automation testing tracks for integrated solutions, assisting team members and track leads in estimation and planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of test execution results as per the test cycle.
• Collect relevant metrics, generate reports, and maintain a 100% test platform pass rate in SIT.
• Create and adhere to defect SLAs, ensure no Sev1/2 defect leakage into SIT and higher environments, and follow up for closure.
• Participate actively in defect triage meetings and update defect details accordingly.
• Advise Tech Leads on overall testing estimates for the team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3-6 years of automation experience in web and API applications using Rest Assured, Selenium, etc.
• Mobile automation experience is a plus.
• Strong experience in API testing automation and core Java, capable of working independently.
• Good knowledge of Java 8 and Selenium, with the ability to learn new concepts independently.
• Experience in implementing BDD using Cucumber, Serenity, or Gherkin.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab or similar.
• Knowledge of Swagger and Docker is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential.
